Toy Drive for "Through Alika's Eyes"

Vintage Grocers is honored to support one of very own employees' children. Leah, one of our employees in the Coffee Juice bar has a beautiful daughter, Alika. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 2. The doctors and staff at Cedar Sinai have taken such wonderful care of her and her family. She is now 7 years old, and the tumor has returned. Alika is such a brave little girl and is not afraid.

In December 2014, Alika started a Toy Drive to give back to the Hospital that helped her. She said she remembers the playroom, all the volunteers that came to visit her and every toy they brought. Alika said she wanted to do the same and give the children in hospital that same experience. Vintage Grocers Westlake at The Promenade we are collecting unwrapped new toys! We have a box under our Christmas Tree where you can place the toys. Alika, her family and the entire Vintage Grocers family appreciate your support.

Alika was able to get the support of her school and the community. Special thank you to MUSE School and CITI Bank Calabasas! A little girl with big ideas! We hope to make this an ongoing annual event.
